Washing and cleaning the Smart Fortwo

So what do I do to keep the Smart Fortwo Cabrio looking nice and clean?
I like to try out new products, and have made a collection of my tests and experiences here.

Washing the exterior

I know some people think that it doesn’t matter, but I’m not putting my retractable soft-top thru a car wash.
It doesn’t need the ware, and the soap is bad for the waterproofing.

Biltema Prewash

Biltema Prewash, is sprayed onto the exterior of your car, to loosen dirt and grime before you start washing it.

Biltema Wheel Rim Cleaner
Works fine, as long as you use the right brush.

Biltema Rim Brush

[Not recommended]
I had a Biltema Rim Brush, for a very short time. It disintegrated almost immediately while washing.
