I heard a small, sharp bang while driving on a gravel road, and upon closer inspection the front right coil spring had snapped.
When it happened, I had no idea of how much Smart needed to be removed, to be able to change it for a new one 🙂
Well, off with the entire front, and headlight, and suddenly the top of the spring and shock absorber appeared.
Well, that’s one way to spend a weekend.
So far this is the largest repair, I have had to do on my Smart Fortwo.
