There are a handful Smart Mini Meets around the country, at intervals, so there is usually one, somewhere every week.
Today I drove down to the idyllic island of Enø, near the town Næstved, to meet other Smart Klub Danmark members.
Of cause the Smart needed a thorough bath, followed by a scrub behind its ears, before taking down the top, the side rails and setting off in the glorious sunshine.
12 Smart Fortwo’s showed up, and one drove by, giving a friendly wave, (probably not a member of the Smart Club).
As always, I ended up taking a few photos, some can be seen here:
After a bit of “kicking tires”, and a lot of “isn’t that Ib’s car?” we got some coffee and a great rhubarb cake.
Another member had a professional tester with him, and plugged it into my OBDII port, to se if he could get more information about the fuel rail sensor’s error, that sends my Fortwo into limp mode, than my cheep reader.
It could, and it looks like I’ll be changing my fuel rail sensor, since there were no other indications, that my issues came from buildup in the engine. It also indicated that the sensor sent some bogus readings to the CPU.
The “grasshopper bridge” to Enø is pretty nice.
I found a video of it in action here:
Do you go to “Cars & Coffee” meets with your car?
