I give Biltema Wheel Rim Cleaner, Art. 37-831, a try, to see if I can clean up my white rims.
Not that impressed, even though I must admit that the painted front rims, had a pretty good layer of brake dust on them when I bought the Smart Fortwo.
At the first wash, I got most of the brake dust off, by using soap and water. At my second attempt to get them nice and clean, I used Biltemas Wheel Rim Cleaner.
After spraying it on, and waiting a few minuites, I gave the rims a thorrough scrub with my rim brush. Most of it did get loose, but there are still a lot of remnants, that weren’t removed after a good rinse.
I got no less than two tips at my first Smart Mini-meet on Enø, that if I wanted something that really worked, I should by Dragons breath, from bilvask.nu
I will give Biltemas Wheel-Rim Cleaner one more try, before ordering the alternative.
Update
I have given the wheel rim cleaner a second attempt, and must admit that it has done a much better job this time.
I don’t know it the difference comes from a lower temperature, as it was much cooler today, than during the first test.

Update 2
I’ve got a new Optimize Chenille Wheel Brush, that does a far better job than the old-school “wirebrush”.
The combination og Chenille and Rim Cleaner is absolutely magic.
What do you use to clean your rims?
