Biltema Insect remover, Lightning shine, Rim cleaner and Prewash

Biltema Prewash

I give the Biltema Prewash, Art. 37-834 a try, before going to a Smart Mini-meet. Does it make a difference?

Normally I don’t use anything but a thorough rice before I foam in the Smart Fortwo, and wash it.

Since I’ve never used a prewash before, I was pretty interested in seeing if it made a big difference in getting rid of the dirt and smashed insects.

As the name implies, I bought the bottle at Biltema, at the price of DKK 39,90

After spraying the edges and corners where the dirt ends up, around the emblems, stickers and the front that was covered with dead insects, I ended up using 10 minutes and half the 500ml bottle of Biltema Prewash, getting around the tiny car.
I didn’t want it anywhere near my retractable fabric roof, so I would expect a normal family sedan or MPV would have needed a whole bottle.

When I was done, and it had been allowed to soak in, for a few minutes, I rinsed and washed the car as usual.

The only things that I couldn’t have loosened up with the garden hose, were the squished insects on the front of the car. They were still as well stuck as they were before the treatment.

I must admit, the Biltema Prewash, feels like a waste of time, and waste of money.

I can’t see what it does, that a DKK 10,- spray bottle with soapy water wouldn’t be able to do?
Or a good foam-gun and an extra rinse.
The spray bottle with diluted car shampoo would take just as long, but the foam-gun, would only take a minute.

If I was handing stars, this would go home, empty handed.
No recommendation here!
