I’m on a one day trip to Bornholm today, to pickup a few things, and to visit some friends.
Took the trip from western Zeeland, across the Øresund bridge, and on to Ystad in Sweden without any stops.
Unfortunately it began to drizzle every time I lowered the roof, so it was only down a fraction of the time.
There were not as many cars waiting at the ferry as i had feared, and the passenger deck was not as crowded as usual.
While I waited to get on board I spent some of the time by mounting my dash cam. It has been waiting in its box for a few weeks, but after almost beeing hit the other day, I thought it was time to get it setup.
When leaving the Smart on the car-deck, I couldn’t help wonder how many Fortwo’s could be parked onboard. It takes up no space compared to some of the large SUV’s and station-cars nearby.
The Smart Fortwo doesn’t take up much space onboard Express 1
It didn’t take long to pack the things I had come to the island for, so I popped by to say hello to some old colleagues at my old job, before visiting a few friends.
I took quite a lot of detours between my destinations, to relive old memories 😊
There are still very few Smarts on Bornholm, didn’t see a single one during my visit.
Took the same ferry (Express 1) back at 18:30.
I had hoped to be able to see the new Express 5, current holder of the “World largest passenger ferry” title) on one of my trips, but unfortunately it’s departures didn’t match mine.
On the way back home, I stopped at Shell’s GTL Diesel fuels station at Køge, to try out the GTL fuel, I’ve heard about.
There are only a handful GTL pumps in Denmark, so I was rather annoyed that they don’t support Apple Pay, so I had to continue without filling my tank.
However I have a feeling, that I’ll be back here next time I pass Køge, to test it, and see if I can feel a difference.
