At last. After driving a plain and very very boring Peugeot, for far too long, I’m back behind the steering wheel of a Smart Fortwo.
I’ve been looking for what feels like ages, and yesterday I got a private message, with a tip.
A very active member of the Danish Smart Club has passed away late last year. He has attended every large Smart event for more than a decade, and has won a lot of prizes with his Smart Fortwo Cabrio.
His Fortwo was now for sale.
I expect buying a good club-mates very personalized car, is a tough decision. It will always be his mods, unless you change them, and do you want to undo your late friends personal touches in order to make them your own?
This I expect could be a reason, that it hasn’t been bought by another active member.
I got the contact information to the previous owners wife, and by chance we had planed a trip to Jutland, and were passing right by anyway.
So a day later I was out on a test-drive (without the noise from the first test drive), and we ended up driving home in two cars. One with it’s top down.
As mentioned earlier, it’s a highly personalized Fortwo. I’ll sum up the previous owners mods (that I’m aware of) in another post.
