It’s not quite summer yet, but today is this years first “top down in short sleeves” day.
Naturally I took the small back roads home, and enjoyed the views.
It’s hard not to take an extra turn (or five), just to enjoy birdsong, the scent of the fields in full bloom, the sun and the clear blue skies.
Another thing I love about exploring the smaller back roads, is making new discoveries about the area I’m in.
In the country side, there is amazing nature to see, and in the smaller towns there is a lot of history.
We only have to go back half a century, and there were small industries and shops that now have been converted to something else.
Once you get a cabriolet, there will be no going back, to sitting in the shade, under a dark steel roof.
