As most other companies, Smart has produced and shown a series of concept cars. Some to take the temperature of the audiences wishes and expectations, others just for show.
A few of them have with modifications turned up in the dealers showrooms, for general sale.
Smart Crosstown (2005)
Hybrid Concept, unveiled at the 2005 Frankfurt Motor Show.
Smart Formore (2005)
The first four wheel driven Smart, and the first big SUV
Built on the Mercedes C-Class platform. Was going to be unveiled at the 2005 Frankfurt Auto Show, but was cancelled.
Smart Forspeed (2011)
Electric Roadster reminding a lot of the Smart Crossblade.
Smart Forstars (2012)
Unveiled at the 2012 Paris Motor Show.
Smart For-Us (2012)
A tiny pickup with storage behind its taillights.
Smart Concept #1 (2021)
Unveiled at the 2021 IAA / International Motor Show Germany
Smart Concept #5 (2024)
Unveiled at the 2024 Auto China Show
